Integrative Support:

Wearables & Tools That Help

This section is dedicated to the increasing amount of technology and tools that although may not be specifically designed for those of us living with Epilepsy, can be helpful in supporting us. Some can help to reduce certain stimulation like flashing lights, others by helping to manage the stress that living with seizures bring, and still more that help with the overwhelming side effects of seizure medications themselves.

  • Theraspecs are glasses designed to help protect your eyes from screens, fluorescent and LED lighting, sunlight, and other irritating light.

  • If you live with epilepsy and find that bright lights, screens, or fluorescent lighting make you feel worse—or even trigger seizures—TheraSpecs glasses may help. Designed with precision-tinted lenses, they filter out the most harmful wavelengths of light known to provoke symptoms in people with light sensitivity or photosensitive epilepsy. While they aren't a cure, many users report fewer headaches, reduced eye strain, and less discomfort in visually triggering environments.

“I have a Generalized Seizure Disorder and migraines, and my seizures can be triggered by flashing and fluorescent lights, (among other things.)

Recently I found these glasses and have found that they have a remarkable effect on the strain that I generally feel behind my eyes that I never even realized I so frequently feel. Now I wear them all of the time! .”
